The State BJP on Sunday decided to garner at least 50% votes in each polling booth for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Hyderabad: The State BJP on Sunday decided to garner at least 50% votes in each polling booth for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This decision was taken at the State office-bearers and Parliament candidates’ meeting here.

Disclosing details while addressing the media, BJP Legislature Party Leader A Maheshwar Reddy said the meeting was chaired by Union Minister and TS party chief G Kishan Reddy.

It was attended by Parliamentary Board member Dr K Laxman, national vice-president DK Aruna, national general secretary Bandi Sanjay Kumar, national general secretary and Telangana in-charge Sunil Bansal, and other leaders. They deliberated on the action plan and electioneering.

He said the party action plan targeting to win all 17 LS segments; the campaign and electioneering plans have been designed in line with this goal. Leaders at the meeting felt that people wanted to bring back Narendra Modi for the third time. ‘People see Modi provides a stable and strong leadership for the country, which emerged as the fifth largest economy in the world from its earlier position of 11th.

“The country needs Modi’s leadership to take the

country forward to become the third largest economy in the world.

Towards, this end, the party has decided to reach out to women, youth and all sections of society to explain the decisions taken by the Modi government,” he added.

As a part of the programme chalked out, it was decided to touch at least twice every house under each polling booth and reach out to youth and women to seek their support.

On April 6, the foundation day of the party, it was decided to hold ‘Tiffin Bitak’ in every polling booth; leaders will meet and discuss the implementation of the action plan of reaching out to people in their respective

booths in the spirit of “Koi Ghar na chute-Koi Voter na chute,” (not to miss any house or any voter)

Street-corner meetings will be organised with small gatherings of people of about 200 in every Assembly constituency.

The meetings will be addressed by the local and district leaders.

The polling booths are classified into A, B, C and D; steps will be initiated to strengthen them. The election management committee in each Assembly constituency will meet every three days and take stock of the implementation of the plan and other decisions taken by the party and initiate corrective measures if needed.

The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) will reach out to young and first-time voters to create awareness of the Modi government’s initiatives and to seek their support. Besides, meetings will be organised extensively across every LS constituency till the day of nominations. The party will also take to people how the Congress government has let them down by failing to fully implement its six guarantees, and its inefficiency. The anti-people policies and decisions of the government will be taken to people during the campaign, Reddy said.
