BJP leaders protest over results goof-up
Protesting the failure of Inter Board and the state government to prevent irregularities in Inter results, BJP leaders led by the party district president Madhavaram Kantha Rao staged protest in front of Collector office on Tuesday.
Medchal: Protesting the failure of Inter Board and the state government to prevent irregularities in Inter results, BJP leaders led by the party district president Madhavaram Kantha Rao staged protest in front of Collector office on Tuesday. The BJP state vice-president Malla Reddy also participated in the protests. About 300 BJP activists took part in the protest.
Speaking during the protest, Kantha Rao said that their agitation would not stop until justice was done to the students. He urged the students not to commit suicides and assured that BJP would fight for them. Warning the state government on its fascist methods, he said that the government could not suppress the agitation using detentions and arrests.
He demanded the state government to take necessary steps to address the issue and clear the apprehensions among students. Condemning the arrest of BJP state president Dr K Laxman who was peacefully protesting with his fast, he said that it was not proper on the part of a democratic government to arrest a person engaged in a peaceful protest.
He said that the delay in the response to the issue resulted in deaths of several students and accused the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao responsible for the deaths. He asked KTR to come out of Twitter and respond on the issue.
Later, police arrested the protesters and shifted them to Medchal police station. Among those who participated in protest include Medchal district BJP vice president Sathi Reddy, BJP leaders Srikar Rao, Venu, K Madhavi, Sulochana, Sathyanarayana, and others.
