Bohras organise food fair to promote their cuisine
Out of 65 stalls, 29 stalls were decked with various authentic mouth-watering Bohra delicacies and also various healthy gluten-free dishes and rest 36 stalls had various games for all age groups. Also, the organisers of this event are planning for a food portal named Manhal Saifee which would include home delivery.

Secunderabad: With an aim to promote home-based industries run by women, Tijarat Rabiyah from Dawoodi Bohra community organised a one-day Carnival Funfair at MSB School Ground, Trimulgheery on Sunday. Thousands of people were seen relishing on various Bohra dishes that include Dabeli, khuddaal palida, Keema samosa and many more at the carnival.
Out of 65 stalls, 29 stalls were decked with various authentic mouth-watering Bohra delicacies and also various healthy gluten-free dishes and rest 36 stalls had various games for all age groups. Also, the organisers of this event are planning for a food portal named Manhal Saifee which would include home delivery.
Apart from these stalls, the carnival had included relaxation and rejuvenation therapy for elders. Mohammed Bhai Saheb is the mastermind of this fair and the main focus of the event was clean home-cooked food.
Whatever profit would be earned in this event would be distributed among the women and the event was funded by organisers "Besides the dishes of our cuisine, I prefer to set a healthy stall that has all gluten-free dishes , as nowadays, it is much preferable and the sale was higher than my expectation," Shehre Banu, one of the stall owners of Food fit who participated in the fair."
Its a wonderful platform for women, as earlier our community women used to struggle for livelihood and was not exposed to the outer world, where they could earn some money.
Once the portal is launched it would be very helpful to everyone. Also our spiritual head, Syedna Abu Jafarussa (53th Da'I al-Mutlaq) is a person who have motivated the women to come forward in their life and showcase their culinary silks.
"Each and every stall had a good sale and got a very good feedback from the costumers. As my stall sold special Dabeli, people enjoyed the taste of the dish," said Alifya Netterwala, a stall owner.
"This carnival is organised for the first time in our community and I am thankful to our organisers to provide me the chance to showcase my food items in today's fair," said Jummanah Mesina, a stall owner..
