Local corporator Alakunta Saraswathi took out padayatra in Manikeshwar Nagar on Monday. She enquired with the residents about their problems. Residents said that they were getting contaminated water.

Acting on the complaint she expressed ire over jalamandali officials. She directed officials concerned to solve problems in the colony. She also directed them to take steps to complete development works including construction of Lal Bahudur Community Hall and Gangaputra Bhavan, laying of roads and erecting electric poles.
Water Works Manager Krishna Prasad, GHMC AE Venkatesh, Electric Department AE Madhusudhan, local TRS leaders and others were present.
