Secunderabad: After having realised that large-scale unauthorised layouts are being plotted in its jurisdiction, Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) plans to take stringent actions on unauthorised layouts across HMDA limits, HMDA had proposed to conduct Special Drive from April 29 to May 10 for detection of unauthorised layouts in HMDA area.

HMDA found that large-scale violation of rules, particularly the absence of required authorizations are being noticed in most cases and some developers plotted their layout and started selling plots without HMDA approval, others were found to have taken up ventures and plots in zones that were not meant for residential purposes.

The HMDA has decided to crack the whip and initiate action against such layouts. All APOs, JPOs, POs were directed to identify all unauthorized layouts in their jurisdiction and issue notices to concerned developers or owners.

The HMDA said that after May 10, strict enforcement action including demolition will be taken up and under no circumstances unauthorised layouts will be continued to develop. If any unauthorised layout is detected after May 10 disciplinary action will also be taken against the officers responsible for not preventing the same.

The details of un-authorized layouts in the official websites and the same were to be prohibited under section 22-a (1) (e) in Ranga Reddy district are 474, Shankarpally zone of Ranga Reddy district are 91, in Medchal zone its 111 and in Ghatkesar zone its 33.

HMDA also requested the public to verify the list of approved layouts from HMDA website: hmda.gov.in and purchase plots in only approved layouts to avoid any hardship or loss at a later date. Sub Registrars were also requested to not to register the plots in the unauthorized layouts.
