Safilguda: Responding to the news article 'Residents clear choking of nala' published The Hans India columns dated September 28, the GHMC Officials swung into action and instructed the sanitation workers to clean and restore the outlet as soon as possible.
The news article highlighted the problematic conditions of the outlet pipe at Safilguda lake. The outlet was fully choked with waste, especially plastic material, water hyacinth and grass.
Due to which, after the recent rains the water levels of the lake increased and flooded north part of the walking track. With GHMC officials taking swift action, walkers sighed a relief and thanked The Hans India for bringing the issue to light.
