GHMC property tax receipts at Rs 490 cr
Prod to civic chiefs on 100 pc tax collection in Telangana
The last day of the early scheme which is to avail the 5 percent discount on the payment of property tax had ended on Tuesday. As part of the early bird Scheme, GHMC has collected a record amount Rs 490 crore property tax till April 30 in the current fiscal year.
Hyderabad: The last day of the early scheme which is to avail the 5 percent discount on the payment of property tax had ended on Tuesday. As part of the early bird Scheme, GHMC has collected a record amount Rs 490 crore property tax till April 30 in the current fiscal year.
The total amount of Rs 437.75 crore was collected from early bird scheme last year and its Rs 490 crore in this year. Majority of the amount has been received through online. On the last day of the scheme GHMC has received Rs 58 crore.
GHMC Commissioner M Dana Kishore said that with the endless efforts of GHMC senior officers, field officials, staff members, zonal and deputy commissioners, they almost reached the goal which was set at Rs 500 crore.
