Overflowing of garbage has been a constant source of problem for the residents of Balaji Hills from last few months. Heaps of garbage are popping up near the entrance of Balaji hills colony.

The GHMC has placed two small garbage drums to dump garbage in them but there is heavy garbage being dumped and the garbage drums overflowing. "I have been seeing this garbage for several months.
All the residents are also dumping garbage here only. The GHMC staff will come but they won't clean the place. They will just throw bleaching powder on garbage and the surroundings," says a local resident.
With the menace of overflowing garbage in the colony all the surrounding places stinking of foul odour. It is really a sight of disgust and dismay. "In some worst cases, the garbage will overflow and occupy half of the road then it is very difficult to walk on the street.
We request the officials to address this issue as soon as possible and to protect from outbreak of diseases," pleaded Srinivas, a resident of Balaji Hills.
