Historians recall last Nizam's reforms
Historians Captain L Panduranga Reddy, Dr Chiranjeevi Kolluri and scores of others from the family of Nizam remembered the last Nizam who implemented significant reforms during his lifetime in the erstwhile Hyderabad state, at a function on his 53rd death anniversary on Monday.

During the lecture held in King Koti which was also attended by Nawab Najaf Ali Khan, the grandson of Nizam VII, Mir Osman Ali Khan, the historians recalled his visionary approach about a century ago while dealing with problems within the kingdom.
They later paid floral tributes at his final place of rest at Masjid-e-Judi in King Koti. Also present on the occasion were Affan Quadri Secretary Mehar organisation, Mohammed Farooq secretary Khaoomshi Trust, members of different organisation and students. Najaf Ali Khan said that the tradition of secularism was followed by the Asafjahi rulers, which was maintained till the time of Nizam VII. "It is evident from the appointment of Prime Ministers or Ministers who were mostly Hindu, from 18th Century onwards," he said.
