Hyderabad: A tweet went viral on Sunday in the name of BJP Floor Leader Raja Singh demanding removal of State party chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
The tweet stirred tension among the party cadre against the backdrop of ongoing discontent brewing among the local party leaders and cader under Goshamahal Assembly constituency represented by Raja Singh, who has been the party's lone MLA until recently held Dubbaka by-poll.
The tweet claimed that in the GHMC Elections 2020, Telangana State chief Bandi Sanjay is running the show as he pleases. It adds that almost all leaders in the city are quite annoyed with Sanja. It will cause enormous damage to the party during the GHMC elections, it is being.
"Sanjay should be removed from the post of the State chief to save BJP in Telangana. Jai Hind and Jai BJP!," it concluded.
However, taking to Twitter Raja Sing clarified that "I have not said (the above). Some have made a morphed content pic using his name to weaken the party's confidence." "I will lodge a complaint against this (the morphed content pic) with the cybercrimes cell," he said. However, Raja Singh had reportedly expressed his anguish that it was a fact that Bandi Sanjay cheated him. The BJP floor leader said that he had asked Sanjay to allocate party tickets to the people suggested by him under the Goshamahal Assembly segment. However, his plea was in vain. "I will write a letter to the BJP Central leadership giving all the details in three or four days," he said.
Singh said currently he was mourning the demise of someone in the family.
