Rajendranagar: Lashing out at the government for locking up religious places in at the secretariat, the All India Majlis-e-Inquilab-e-Millat (AIMIM) has accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar of hurting the sentiments of all communities.

"The KCR government wants to build its paradise over the ruins of religious structures in the state. One after another religious place is being targeted on the pretext of road widening or paving way for the construction of new projects.

The latest example is closure of two mosques and a temple in the secretariat which are the only source of prayers for several hundred employees working in the high security zone of central administration," criticised the president of Millat party, Moulana Syed Taraq Quadri.

A written representation, Quadri said, was also made to the Chief Secretary apprising him about the ruffled sentiments of the people of different communities due to closure of two mosques and a temple in the secretariat.

The party wants the government to revoke the closure of these religious places as it is against the tenants of our democratic frame-work," he asserted Demanding that the government unlock the mosque and the temple immediately, another senior party leader advocate Qavi Abbasi said "AIMIM party will take a legal route soon if the government fails to re-open the religious structures for prayers to facilitate the employees working in Secretariat."
