Legislator inspects drainage works
Local MLA Arekapudi Gandhi on Friday inspected the drainage problem in JV Colony, along with the GHMC officials, and stressed on need to solve it by expediting the drainage work.
Serilingampally: Local MLA Arekapudi Gandhi on Friday inspected the drainage problem in JV Colony, along with the GHMC officials, and stressed on need to solve it by expediting the drainage work.
Gandhi took up the inspection soon after receiving complaints from the locals. He directed officials to immediately take steps for easy clearance of collected rain water by diverting the flow so as to ease the problem for the residents.
The MLA stated that early completion of drainage work on a war-footing with a specific time schedule would provide a permanent solution to the issue. He gave several suggestions to officials like removal of piled up garbage, clearance of silt for easy flow of rain water, early completion of work in view of the rainy season.
Among those present during the inspection were TRS leaders U Srikanth, Raju Yadav, Nandu Singh, GHMC DE Srinivas, AE Sunil, Works Inspectors Mahesh and Yadagiri.
