Samahaara Theatre Co-operative invites you to a unique theatre experience with their radical adaptation of Shakespeare's 'Macbeth' in Telugu.
Under the direction of Nasreen Ishaque this production explores in building an understanding around the concept of non-verbal physical expression where the body speaks or behaves within various contexts.
The team makes the production as simple and effective as possible with minimal use of sets, props, costumes, lights, make up etc,. The weight of a heavy play like Macbeth is lightened in this production by interesting use of empty space, treating the text by incorporating elements of distortion and abstraction that blends space and time, besides challenging the concept of realism.
