Cherlapally: Bathukamma celebrations were held on a grand note here on Sunday. Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and his spouse Sri Devi were the chief guests. Sri Devi took part in bathukamma dance along with other women. She said the festival is the biggest festival in Telangana.
"We have a tradition of praying to flowers," she added expressing happiness for being part in the celebrations. Uppal MLA Bethi Subhash Reddy, corporators Pavani Reddy, Swarna Raj, Pannala Devender Reddy, Golluri Anjaiah, Vikarm and others were present.
