Meet on minorities issues from June 13
Scholars, intellectuals, academicians and social scientists from Muslim community will be discussing ‘Quality Education – Challenges and Prospects of the Muslims’ at the India Education Conclave 2019 which will be held in Hyderabad from June 13 to 16.
Hyderabad: Scholars, intellectuals, academicians and social scientists from Muslim community will be discussing 'Quality Education – Challenges and Prospects of the Muslims' at the India Education Conclave 2019 which will be held in Hyderabad from June 13 to 16.
Being jointly organised by MESCO and All India Education Movement in association with different educational and social organisations of Hyderabad and from different cities and states across India the conclave will be launched by A K Khan, Advisor to Government (Minorities Welfare) on June 13 at Madina Education Centre, Nampally.
Speaking to media persons on Tuesday, MESCO Secretary and Chairman of the organising committee Dr Fakhruddin Mohammed, said that the conference would be platform for interdisciplinary discussions including school education and skill development, open learning prospects for dropouts through National Institute of Open School and Indira Gandhi National Open University, awareness and enrolment of Muslims in higher educational institutions, progress through Technology, Research and Industry and imbibing moral education and values.
According to Fakhruddin Mohammed this was the first time in India many organisations from different verticals are gathering on one platform. A diversity of topics including from modern education in seminaries and moral education in modern institutions to artificial intelligence and science and technology will focus on community empowerment while exploring new vistas.
"Challenges faced by Muslim women including securing their future while striking a balance with the family will also be discussed." He said that the reason of backwardness amongst Muslims is lack of educational facilities or opportunities. Because of economic conditions, the school dropout rate is high, he added.
Dr Fakhruddin also said that during the 4-day conclave eminent personalities from different walks of life for their yeomen services like Prof A M Pathan, K M Arifuddin, Justice Siddiqui and others will be honoured. He added that MESCO Convention Centre will be rechristened Dr Hyder Khan Auditorium after eminent cardiologist, Founder-President of MESCO and Convenor of the IDB Central Panel for India (Jeddah).
"The Muslim community has great potential that is untapped and undiscovered due to under-utilisation of educational provisions. The conclave is aimed at changing this situation. The session on Science and Technology and Artificial Intelligence that will be held at Sultanul Uloom Education Society (SUES) is an important pointer in that direction", Dr Fakhruddin said.
