Shamshabad: GMR-led Hyderabad International Airport has introduced an easy and user-friendly parking system to minimise vehicle wait time at the parking exits in the airport under its signature 'Passenger is Prime' Programme, which seeks to continuously enhance the passenger experience at the airport.

According to a press release, the new parking system is aimed at making movement through the car park easy and free flowing for both incoming as well as outgoing traffic. As part of the new parking mechanism, eight standalone Pay Booths located across various points in the car park area will facilitate easy payment of parking fees and provide hassle-free exit by simply scanning the payment receipt.

The system has come into effect from October 3 and will be available round the clock. On-ground support staff will be deployed at parking area to assist and guide users with the transition to new parking system. The introduction of this facility is all set to provide a smooth and seamless experience.

Here is a quick guide to using the new system: Collect parking slip at the entrance; Pay parking fee at any one of the 'Pay Booths' available at all parking zones and collect your receipt; Proceed to 'Parking Exit' Point; Flash the receipt to the scanner at the 'Exit' point; Exit the parking area.
