PD Act invoked against burglar
The city Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar invoked the PD Act against a burglar N Vinod Kumar (25).
Rein Bazar: The city Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar invoked the PD Act against a burglar N Vinod Kumar (25). The accused is a native of Mallapur in Ranga Reddy district and was earlier involved in several offences under the limits of Hyderabad Police Commissionerate and was detained under the PD Act in 2015.
Even after his release from preventive detention, he did not mend his attitude and committed nine more offences. He was again detained under the PD Act by Rachakonda Police Commissionerate in 2017.
He was released from jail and did not change his attitude and took to habitually committing offences and was involved in 14 more offences in the limits of Hyderabad and Rachakonda Police Commissionerates. He was also creating fear among the general public.
Reinbazar police arrested the accused on May 10 and registered cases under Sections 454 and 380 of IPC. He was remanded in judicial custody. The PD Order was executed on him on July 28, and he was lodged in Chanchalguda Central Prison.
