Jubilee Hills: 'Made in Hyderabad' a book that chronicles the inspiring journey of 25 successful start-up entrepreneurs from Hyderabad was unveiled by KT Rama Rao, the working president of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and an active supporter of the entrepreneurial community, at an event at JRC Conventions and Trade Fairs here on Friday.

The book launch took place amidst a sea of entrepreneurs including the founders of the 25 featured start-ups, professionals and wannabe entrepreneurs. This was claimed to be the largest congregation of start-up entrepreneurs in Telangana.

Speaking on the occasion Raj N Phani, a serial entrepreneur and the publisher of the book, said, "We have gathered here to celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship. I witnessed the trials and tribulations, successes and failures, joys and sorrows of the local entrepreneur community. And wanted the stories to be heard and thus felt that bringing a book on their experiences will inspire more people to join the entrepreneurial community.

'Made in Hyderabad' is an innovative initiative by a team of entrepreneurs and professionals to showcase the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Hyderabad. The 140-page book depicts the entrepreneurial journey of 25 start-up companies based out of Hyderabad and showcases the real-life stories of the founders who were armed with just their dreams and fuelled by their pure passion to achieve success. Each story brings out the perseverance and hard work that has gone in to bring their dreams to fruition."

KT Rama Rao said, "Hyderabad is shaping in a very vibrant startup ecosystem, and we all know in India being an entrepreneur is a tough task and is a huge challenge. A lot of successful entrepreneurs I have met in the last couple of years tell me it's an uphill task and is a challenge to work with the government.

When we started five years ago as a new state we actually started asking ourselves a lot of questions on how can we as a new state do something different. We need indigenous formula, our own local recipes for our own problems. Today, we have become a model state with excellent government support to the startup eco system.

Back in 2014, I recall there were two incubators in Hyderabad and there were roughly around 200 startups at that point of time. Today, I feel very proud to share that Hyderabad has been a city with the largest number of incubators and startups, we have 48 incubators so far and the number is still going up and each incubator has overall 3,000 plus startups running across Hyderabad."

Incidentally, KT Rama Rao penned the Foreword for the Book. Saluting the spirit of entrepreneurship, Raj N Phani announced that his second book featuring leading women entrepreneurs of Hyderabad which is still in its writing phase would be launched soon.
