SFI demands solutions to problems plaguing Osmania University

Osmania University: The Student Federation of India (SFI) staged a protest in front of the OU administrative building on Friday seeking solution to various problems in the university. They demanded appointment of a professor as vice-chancellor. They also demanded filling of teaching and non-teaching posts.

Improvement of basic amenities, free mess facility for every student of the university, funds for the university in the budget and security for girls hostel are their other demands.

They withdrew the protest only after the registrar and the OSD gave an assurance to address the issues. SFI state president RL Murthy, Ganesh, Ravi Naik, Balu, Mallesh, Surender, Srikanth, Anji and others took part.
