Manchal: The XXVI MM Court at Ibrahimpatnam on Tuesday sentenced the accused M Narsimha (36) to 2 years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 6,000 for outraging modesty of a woman.

According to the Manchal police, on April 3, 2019 a 35-year-old woman lodged a complaint in the police station in which she stated that for a week she was being harassed by the accused.

He followed her and caught hold of her hand and outraged her modesty. When her husband and son questioned him, he threatened them also with dire consequences. Even two years back she and the village elders warned him for stalking. But the accused did not change his attitude and continued the same.
