Musheerabad: TRS party meeting was held at Arya Vaishya Hostel here on Sunday. Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, MLA Muta Gopal, former Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy and GHMC standing committee member V Srinivas Reddy were among the prominent leaders who attended the meeting. A large number of TRS party workers, corporators and party leaders attended the meeting.

Addressing the party cadre, Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that success and defeat were common in elections and advised them not to get dejected by the defeat. He said that earlier only Congress and BJP parties contested in the Secunderabad but a young candidate from TRS party was able to give tough fight to BJP.

The Minister opined that national politics may have influenced the results in favour of BJP. He said that TRS party led by the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would introduce several welfare initiatives in the coming days.

Naini Narsimha Reddy, speaking on the occasion, said that the party cadre worked sincerely to wrest the Secunderabad Parliament seat from BJP, which was held by former Union Minister Dattatreya. He said that many of Congress votes may have gone to BJP and resulting in defeat of TRS candidate.

Narsimha Reddy said that the party would analyse the reasons for the party defeat. It was surprising that the leaders who have been considered as voice of public such as Kavitha and Vinod were defeated in the elections, he said. He urged the party cadre to be united and work to address public issues.

Among those who attended the meeting were corporator Padma Naresh, Hemalatha, youth leader M Jaisimha, Prabhakar, Moses, Naresh and others.

Police complaint against TRS leader

A TRS activist of Musheerabad, who is the follower of MN Srinivas Rao, Rajinikanth sent a Whatsapp message informing the party workers of TRS meeting at Arya Vaishya Hostel, but he was abused by one Vicky for omitting names of the local MLA, corporators and other senior leaders such as Naini Narsimha Reddy. Rajinikanth registered a complaint against Vicky for abusing him.

According to several party activists, the message had angered many party activists as the meeting itself was organised by the MLA. Party activists expressed concern over group politics between MN Srinivas Rao and Muta Gopal, which may weaken the party.
