Swanky Metro much in demand for shootings
On an average, the L&T Metro Hyderabad Rail Limited (L&T HMRL) receives five requests per month and 15 films have already been shot. Some of the films that caught the imagination of the citizens include Hello, Chitralahari, Devadas, Lie, Bandipotu, Aravinda Sametha among others.
Hyderabad: Film production companies are making a beeline to Hyderabad Metro Rail. Many a time it is the story that compels producers to approach Metro Rail authorities as was the case with Anil Sunkara of 'Lie' film who wanted to replicate a scene in a Metro akin to a foreign location, but there are several producers who wish to shoot at the Metro stations and inside trains to capture urban India.
On an average, the L&T Metro Hyderabad Rail Limited (L&T HMRL) receives five requests per month and 15 films have already been shot. Some of the films that caught the imagination of the citizens include Hello, Chitralahari, Devadas, Lie, Bandipotu, Aravinda Sametha among others.
Metro officials say that the swanky premises and the trains are at par with any metro rail in the world. Jr. NTR, Arjun, Nani, Allari Naresh, Akhil, Nitin, Naga Chaitanya, Sai Dharam Tej, Sharwanand, Rashmika Mandanna and Pooja Hegde have shot for films at metro stations.
The popular Metro Stations include - Nagole, Uppal, Miyapur, Ameerpet, Hi-Tec City and HMR Depot at Nagole. KVB Reddy, MD & CEO, L&T HMRL, says, "It is our privilege to showcase this asset to the world through the world of cinema.
We encourage the film making fraternity." It usually takes one week to 10 days depending on the location and requirements of the shoot for permission. Senior officials say that several factors are taken into account before according permission. It depends on the time of shoot, whether it is inside the train or at depots. The Nagole depot is quite popular.
