The GHMC elections have increased pressure on the government from all sides. Many criticisms are coming from opposition parties including MIM, which claims to be an ally, is also making many comments against the ruling party. Recently, MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, tweeted to the government alleging that the electricity charges were higher than normal rates and consumers are required to pay current charges beyond their capacity. He demanded to waive at least one-third of the units from each bill.

In another post on social media, Asaduddin said that government should ensure that Rs 10,000 flood relief will begin immediately after December 1 and sought no manipulation in flood relief. Asad said many autos and taxis were destroyed in the floods and demanded that the government should support the drivers and pay compensation.
On the other hand, the high court has heard the petition filed over the flood relief package of Rs 10,000 provided by the government. The state election commission has directed the government to stop the scheme after opposition wrote letters on the distribution of flood relief in the wake of the GHMC elections. Attorney Sriram Bhatla Sharath filed public interest litigation in the High Court challenging the SEC orders in this regard and the Court will hear the case on Tuesday.
