Telangana Minority Residential Institutions Society urged to put off orientation camps

Hyderabad: Muslim Reservation Front (MRF) requested the Secretary of Telangana Minority Residential Institutions Society (TMREIS) to postpone the orientation camp until the Holy month of Ramazan is completed.

In a letter to the Telangana State Chief Minister, Muslim Reservation Front (MRF) president Mohammed Iftekharuddin Ahmed requested to postpone the orientation camp to a later date after the Holy month of Ramazan.

Mohammed Iftekharuddin Ahmed stated in his letter that the call from TMREIS Secretary B Shafiullah for orientation cum training for all the Muslim and Non-Muslim teachers of various subjects, principals and wardens together in the month of May. The Holiest month of Muslims, 'Ramadan' is going to start from May 6, and one group of camp is starting from May 3 to May 11 and the other groups followed after that in May.

The training is not for subject orientation, it is combined for all subjects, including skill development, communication development and yoga. The training is organised at an Ashram (Kanha Shanthivanam) in Chegur Village in Ranga Reddy District. It is mentioned in the letter sent by Secretary that it is an international spiritual retreat centre for yoga and Heartfulness meditation. There are total of 204 schools in Telangana and all the employees are called for this training, he added in letter.

According to the Zareena Jaleel, a regular TGT teacher in TMREIS on behalf of all the colleges, said that the staff members are very much ready for any task for the sake of students and TMREIS, but due to the month of Ramadan it is difficult to stay away from home, and it's highly impossible to join prayers for five times as well as Namaz-e-Taraaweeh at Ashram.

Jaleel also said that the lady staff needed to look after Seher and Iftar of their family members. They have to arrange Seher and Iftar at home and without them all the family members have to leave their fasting and Taraweeh.
