Telangana Minority Residential Schools students selected for national shooting tourney
The students of Telangana Minority Residential (TMR) Schools have been selected for the All India Shooting Championship 2019 in Riffle / Pistol (NR) events which will be held in October at Gujarat.
Hyderabad: The students of Telangana Minority Residential (TMR) Schools have been selected for the All India Shooting Championship 2019 in Riffle / Pistol (NR) events which will be held in October at Gujarat.
According to B Shafiullah, Secretary, Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) 11 students of TMR Schools excelled in 11th South Zone Shooting Championship 2019 in Riffle/Pistol (NR), which was held at District Riffle Association of Idukki, Thoduouzha, Kerala and were selected for All India Shooting Championship 2019. "As a result of vigorous trainings arranged with professional coaches, the students of TMREIS outperformed in the 11th South Zone Shooting Championship 2019," he said.
Abhishek, student of TMR School Saidabad Boys - 2, secured Silver Medal and got qualified for Nationals where as Akshita of TMRS Asifnagar Girls - 1, Md Nouman of TMRS Khanapur Boys – 1 and Rama Devi of TMRS Jagitial Girls – 1 got qualified for Nationals.
While Maariya Taneem of TMRS Saidabad Girls – 1, Maryam of TMRS Saidabad Girls – 1, Sumaiya Lakshmi of TMRS Bahadurpura Girls – 1, Tayyaba of TMRS Jadcherla Girls -1, Vasavi of TMRS Manchiriyal Girls -1, Saniya Anjum of TMRS Wanaparthy Girls – 1 and M. Shanmukha of TMRS Sherlingampally Boys – got qualified for Pre – Nationals.
"TMREIS is striving for overall development of students with special focus on games and sports for bringing out players of highest calibre to represent in National and International Events. The achievement of students of TMR Schools in Kerala is one more feather in the cap of TMREIS," he added.
