Temple priest's gesture to devastated farmer
The Balaji Temple priest here on Tuesday gifted a cow and calf to a devastated farmer who lost both of his dairy cows due to electrocution. He had seen a video of this farmer from Siddipet crying over the corpses of electrocuted cows which was heart rending.

It was this video of farmer Sammayya who lost his two cows due to electrocution which went viral prompting priest CS Rangarajan to get in touch with Sammayya. The farmer was brought to Chilkur and a milk yielding cow and calf were given as donation to him for his livelihood.
"This is the type of response required from the society whenever a farmer cries for help. Farmer should not be in tears any time. That is the reason for this small step which may inspire more people to come forward," CS Rangarajan said.
He also thanked Balaji Temple volunteer Pavan Kumar who had shown him the video and insisted that we need to help this farmer. The video was viral in social media that struck a chord with people but the people who responded were only an NRI and Chilkur priest.
