Resolve to abide by JAC decisions, shrug off CM’s ‘threats’

Serilingampally: About 450 striking RTC employees on Monday took a pledge under the stewardship of JAC leader Emani Vinayak Reddy near the Miyapur depot that they would continue their agitation until all their problems were solved and that they would abide by the decisions taken by the Joint Action Committee.

The employees felt that none need fear the 'threats' of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Addressing them, Reddy recalled that the RTC employees' strike in 2015 continued in both the States for eight days despite the pressure of the two chief ministers and the High Court which wanted the agitation to be called off.

The eight-day strike was successful as the demands were secured. He claimed that with the High Court backing the employees, there was no need to be afraid of 'threats' of the CM. He expressed optimism that the court would give good news to the employees on November 7.

State BJP executive committee member Jnanendra Prasad, reiterating the party's support to the striking employees, impressed upon them not to be dispirited as the party would continue to stand by them.

Among those present at the event were JAC leaders B Goud, Murthy, Bal Reddy, Mahender, Ravinder, V R K Reddy, L S M S Reddy, Eshwar Reddy, Narayana, Damodar, Rukmini, Sujata and RTC workers.
