Himayathnagar: The All-India Velama Association organised a grand five-day 'Bathukamma' festivities in Velama Sangham, under the leadership of Indira Rao, president.

Large number of women participated in the programme, continuing the 250 yr old tradition. She told The Hans India that the tradition of celebrating the Bathukamma festival is unique only in Telangana.
