Nizamabad: Farmers have demanded the establishment of Turmeric Board with the announcement of MSP of Rs 15,000 for turmeric. Joint Action Committee members submitted a memorandum of wish list to District Collector M Rammohan Rao.

They also requested the government to fix MSP for red jowar at Rs 3,500 per quintal. Reminding Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's election promise of setting up a Turmeric Board and MSP for red jowar, the committee members demanded the CM to fulfil his promise.
