TTD receives Rs5.11 cr donation for Chennai temple facelift
Chennai Local Area Committee (LAC) Chairman Sekhar Reddy along with 8 others on Monday donated Rs 5.11 crore for the development of TTD temple in Chennai city.
Tirumala: Chennai Local Area Committee (LAC) Chairman Sekhar Reddy along with 8 others on Monday donated Rs 5.11 crore for the development of TTD temple in Chennai city.
The donors led by Sekhar Reddy handed over the demand draft towards the donation to TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy at Annamaiah Bhavan on Monday.
The donation was made to TTD for the purchase of land for the expansion of the existing Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Venkatanarayana Road at T Nagar in Chennai city. The TTD LAC has identified 5.5 guntas land worth Rs 35 crore land adjacent to this temple for expansion required to cope with steady increase
of devotees to the shrine which was one of most popular TTD temples outside Tirumala.
It may be noted here that TTD had already received a donation of Rs 8.15 crore for purchasing the land area adjacent to the temple, taking the donation received so far to Rs 13. 26 crore.
