Showcase 2k19 held at Maris Stella
The department of journalism of Maris Stella College organised a state-level student fest Showcase 2k19 on Thursday. Kiran Kumar, joint director, information and public relations, Vijayawada inaugurated the fest.
Vijayawada: The department of journalism of Maris Stella College organised a state-level student fest Showcase 2k19 on Thursday. Kiran Kumar, joint director, information and public relations, Vijayawada inaugurated the fest.
Addressing the gathering, Kiran Kumar spoke on the importance of media in society. He said the students pursuing journalism should have creative thinking, writing skills and presentation skills. They should follow the human values along with ethics in the profession. Dynamism and initiation are important for journalists, said Kiran Kumar on the occasion.
Dr Innacia, vice-principal in her welcome address dwelt on the role played by the journalists and the opportunities available in the service sector. Dr Santhosh Krishna, Best Hospitals, Dr B Sriteja, Purna Heart Institute were the special invitees of the programme.
Various competitions like report writing, troubleshooting, sky is the limit, Mr and Miss Showcase 2k19 photography contests were conducted to the students. About 150 students from various colleges participated in this events and the winners were given prizes. Oliva Y, HoD Journalism, Sankar Rao and student were present.
