Visakhapatnam: M Sruti Samhita from Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar and P Deepsri from Little Angels School have teamed up to do their bit to create awareness among denizens on environmental conservation and consider measures to make the city a cleaner and greener place to live in.

Jotting down points such as use of alternative energy, replacement of plastic dustbins with steel dustbins, complete ban on plastic bags and better accessibility to public transport, they appealed to the officials concerned at GVMC to implement eco-friendly initiatives in an effective manner. They demanded that people should play a proactive role in keeping the surroundings clean.

Visiting the GVMC office, they interacted with public and urged them to contribute generously to cleaner Visakha. They met Municipal Commissioner M Hari Narayanan and submitted the list of demands signed by commuters and passers-by.
