Man kills his children, commits suicide in Delhi
In a tragic incident, a man has allegedly killed his two children and then committed suicide by jumping from the metro station in New Delhi.
New Delhi: In a tragic incident, a man has allegedly killed his two children and then committed suicide by jumping from the metro station in New Delhi.
According to the police, a business Madhur Malani (44) resides at Shalimar Bagh in Northwest Delhi along with his wife Rupali, daughter Samiksha (14), and son Shreyan (6).
Madhur runs a sandpaper factory which went into losses. With this, he closed it six months ago and remained unemployed. Since then, his parents have been providing financial support to him. This situation led him to depression.
In this context, his wife Rupali went to the market on Sunday, and when she returned home, she found her two children died the husband was missing. Immediately, she informed the police.
On receiving the information, the police reached the spot, shifted the bodies to the hospital for post-mortem and initiated a search for Madhur. In this process, they got a call that an unknown body was found at Haiderpur metro station.
With this, the police arrived at the metro station and identified the man as Madhur. The investigation revealed that he had committed suicide by jumping from the metro station.
The preliminary reports state that Madhur who was in depression strangled his children to death and later committed suicide. On the incident, the police have registered a case and investigating further.
