Bengaluru has been accounted for around 38% of the cyber crime cases that had been registered in the country.

As per the latest data compiled by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) had revealed that 2,743 cybercrime cases were registered in 2017 in Bengaluru, the highest among cities across the country.

Bengaluru has been accounted for around 38% of the cybercrime cases that had been registered in the country. The number of cases registered in Mumbai (1362), which is the second-highest in the country, whereas, Jaipur (685) registered the third-highest number of cases of cyber-crime.

The third-highest number of cyber-crime cases have been registered in Karnataka (3,174) following Uttar Pradesh (4,971) and Maharashtra (3,604). More than 86% of the cases in Karnataka were resulted by Bengaluru alone.
