Mischief Costs : Youngster drives on forbidden beach, car gets washed into the sea
People are advised not to drive on the Navapur beach in Virar. A youngster chose to ignore this and went on a joy ride, only to have his brand new car stuck in the sea water
MUMBAI: A viral video shows a youngster desperately trying to get hold of his car being washed away into the sea. A white Ertiga got stuck in the sand as high tide surged in on Saturday. The driver and his friend managed to run out safely.
Locals brought in a tractor to haul the car out of the waters, but in vain. They gave up after a struggle of two hours. The video showsthe car was bobbing on the waves, indicating the surge of the tide serving as a warning to other foolhardy adventurers. They waited till the tide finally pulled away and dug away the sand around the tyres to finally move the car. The car wouldn't start and its engine was badly damaged as water had entered it.
