Mumbai: The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Colaba and Taj Lands End Hotels in Mumbai received calls from Pakistani terrorists threatening to blow up the hotels. The caller is said to have identified himself as a member of the terror outfit, Lashkar-e-Tayyaba (LeT).
The terror attack calls which emanated from Pakistan on Monday night are said to have contained threats to blow up the two hotels owned by the Taj group in Mumbai. Following the threat calls from Pakistan, security has been tightened around the hotels.
The Taj Mahal Palace staff are said to have received the first call around 12:30 am on the intervening night of Monday-Tuesday. Calling from a Pakistani number, a man is said to have described himself as a member of the terror outfit. He further said that the Taj Mahal Palace hotel would be attacked by terrorists on the lines of the 26/11 attack.
