Guwahati: A photograph of a rebel leader's son and his bride posing with automatic rifles at their Nagaland wedding reception has created a major controversy at a time when the centre is trying to close a historic peace deal with Naga groups in the northeast.

Bohoto Kiba, the son of National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Unification (NSCN-U) leader Kilo Kilonser, can be seen posing with AK56 and M16 automatic rifles in the photograph that has been circulated widely on social media. According to sources, guests invited to the event were shocked at the public display of firearms at the November 9 reception.
