The resolution introduced by the opposition 'India' alliance... is just a programme for them

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi made key comments at the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting held shortly before the no-confidence motion was tabled in Parliament. He said that there is no need to worry about the debate on the no-confidence motion. In this regard, he expressed confidence that he will hit a six on the last ball.

"The resolution introduced by the opposition 'India' alliance... is just a programme for them. But this is a good opportunity for us. The slogan of NDA is to keep India free from corruption and family politics," he said. He said that it is an alliance of egoists and called to face the egoists unitedly.

Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi started the debate on the no-confidence motion today. He criticized that even though they did not have the numerical strength in the House, they had created a situation where they had to bring a no-confidence motion. Speaker Om Birla allotted a total of 16 hours for the debate on the no-confidence motion. 15 people from various parties including BJP and Congress will give speeches.
