New Delhi: A PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court (SC) to implement a uniform education system with the same curriculum for all children between the ages of 6 to 14 years in the country.

This PIL has been filed by BJP leader and advocate Ashwani Kumar Upadhyay. The petition has requested to instruct the Center to explore the possibility of merging the various Education Boards and establishing 'One Nation One Education Board' in the country.

The petition, filed through advocate Ashwini Kumar Dubey, states that the Center and the states have yet to set up an education system with a uniform curriculum in the country in the spirit of Article 21A (free and compulsory education) of the Constitution. Has not taken steps.

The petition states that without providing equal education based on values ​​by the Center and the States, children will not be able to exercise their fundamental rights under Article 21A of the Constitution. The petition states that though the medium of instruction may vary according to the official language of the state concerned, the curriculum of education for children in the age group of 6 to 14 years should be uniform.
