The 25-yr-old wanted time to settle down, but his fiancee had a different opinion.

A 25-year-old techie employed at a reputed IT firm committed suicide just a few hours before his wedding. The couple, who were going out decided to get married two years later, after they had settled down. However, the victim's fiancee allegedly forced him into the marriage.

The victim, identified as Dominic Rozario, was a resident of Vasanthnagar. The incident occurred at his house on June 1st, the day his wedding was scheduled.

His father, 52-year-old David Rozario filed a complaint against his son's fiancée after his death. He stated, "My son was an engineering graduate and was undergoing training in a reputed IT firm in the city. A case against his 22-year-old fiancée has been registered. Dominic was the eldest of my two children. There is no information from the police if the accused has been arrested or not."

The parents of the groom knew of the fights Dominic and his fiancée had regarding their wedding.

An officer from the High Grounds police station said, "There is no clarity on what kind of harassment the woman was subjecting her fiancé to. In the complaint, the victim's father has just made a passing reference to her. The victim and the woman had previously approached us in January about some unresolved issues between them. The woman has not yet been arrested. She is not absconding but is pursuing her studies. Both the victim and the woman stay in the same locality. There is no clear evidence against her to prove her role in the suicide."

A case of abetment of suicide under section 306 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused.
