Jaipur: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is all set to address a mega rally in Jaipur on Tuesday. Termed as Yuva Aakrosh rally, the show is meant to showcase the relaunch of Rahul Gandhi, leading to his ascension once again, observers say.
The proposed 'Yuva Aakrosh' rally will highlight unemployment, inflation, economic slowdown and CAA protests, among other things. The Jaipur event will see the Congress leader addressing a large number of youth, according to party leaders. The Congress feels that there is a growing sense of anger in youth against the Narendra Modi government.
The grand old party senses an opportunity to tap into the resentment on CAA, unemployment and other issues. Predictably, Congress ruled Rajasthan has been selected for what has been described as the launch of the repackaged Rahul Gandhi.
The state unit of Congress is keen to showcase the Rahul Gandhi-led event as a mega spectacle of popular ire against the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. The party denied reports that students of colleges were issued a diktat to attend the event.
In addition to Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot and deputy chief minister, Sachin Pilot, cabinet ministers, party leaders and others are expected to attend the 'Yuva Aakrosh' rally.
