Today summer camps are no longer about a bit of music, dance, painting and slokas. Instead it encompasses a host of activities like robotics, public speaking, martial arts and cooking. Here are some of the trending summer camps.
This year the city is witnessing an increase in demand for robotic workshops. The prominent one being ‘J Robotics’, which is organising classes on the fundamentals of electronics and robotics between May 5 and May 10 in collaboration with the JP Birla Science Centre. The institute would also be organising robotics’ competitions. ‘Robotics Summer Camp’ in Begumpet is also offering classes on the same.
Sumer camps for Tai Chi, the Chinese martial art practised for both defence and health benefits, is also gaining ground. After taekwondo, the kids are showing immense interest to learn this art form. Young girls are also learning this technique for self defence.
