Police organise blood donation camp

Commissioner of Police D Gautam Sawang inaugurated a blood donation camp at the Armed Reserve Grounds in the city on Wednesday to mark the Police Commemoration Week. About 300 people, including police personnel and students, donated blood at the camp organised in collaboration with the Government General Hospital, Red Cross Society and Vijaya Sri Blood Bank.

The Vijayawada Police Commissionerate also organised a free eye camp, in association with Sandhya Eye Hospital, to mark the occasion. About 750 people, including senior citizens, got their eyes tested at the camp. DCPs GVG Ashok Kumar, G Palaraju and Koya Praveen were also present.
