KL University (KLU) had announced the engineering entrance examination results here at the city office on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion he said, that out of 36,000 candidates who appeared for the entrance exam, 31,232 candidates were qualified. He said 30,000 rank holders would be called of the first phase counselling.

He stated that the first 40, 000 EAMCET rank holders and candidates who were qualified for JEE advance along with candidates who obtained more than 960 marks in intermediate examination were eligible for counselling he added.

He also said that KLU-EEE candidates can obtain their rank cards through www.kluniversity.in, and all the rank holders would get a call letter from KLU he said.

KLU vice-chancellor Dr LSS Reddy said that counselling would be held for the courses CSE, ECE, EEE, ECSE, Mechanical, Civil, Bio-Technology and Petroleum Engineering for the the year 2017-21 he added.

Reddy said that first 750 rank holders of KLU-EEE, first 2000 rank holders in EAMCET and candidates who obtained 139 marks and above in JEE Mains would get additional merit scholarship fees.

He further said that SC/ST students would get Rs 10,000 and BC students would get Rs 5,000 fee discount per year he added. KLU Registrar Dr T Umamaheshwar Rao said that the candidates should bring all relevant documents for the counselling.
