Expedite PR works, officials told
District Collector Kartikeya Mishra directed officials to rev up the Panchayat Raj department works before the coming monsoon.
Kakinada: District Collector Kartikeya Mishra directed officials to rev up the Panchayat Raj department works before the coming monsoon.
He convened a meeting with all the PR Department engineering officials at the Vidhan Gowthami hall here on Wednesday. In this connection, the Collector said that 2,320 road works worth Rs 362 crore were sanctioned during this year. Out of them, 1665 works were in progress.
He also instructed the engineers to start the remaining works immediately. He directed them to concentrate on works during February and March this financial year. With regard to allotment of sites for the buildings’ construction, the Collector directed them to coordinate with revenue department for allotment of lands.
The Collector also directed them to complete the road maintenance works by the end of March and to speed up the works in agency area. He also instructed them to complete the cyclone shelters, Tashildar offices and Anganwadi buildings in the district as per the target set for them. The Collector also reviewed the progress of construction of Kapu Bhavans, CSR, SDF and MP LADS works.
