Madhavi Latha new chief of DCWC
Mareedu Madhavi Latha, Director of Asha Jyothi School for Mentally Disabled, has been appointed as Chairperson of District Child Welfare Committee (DCWC). The Andhra Pradesh Women Development and Child Welfare Secretary K Suneetha issued orders in this regard to Madhavi Latha.
Eluru: Mareedu Madhavi Latha, Director of Asha Jyothi School for Mentally Disabled, has been appointed as Chairperson of District Child Welfare Committee (DCWC). The Andhra Pradesh Women Development and Child Welfare Secretary K Suneetha issued orders in this regard to Madhavi Latha.
She will be in the post for three years. She has been running the Asha Jyothi Mentally Disabled School in Appanaveedu village in Pedapadu mandal since 1998. She received the State-level award for her services on March 8 to mark International Women’s Day in 2016. She also constituted Asha Jyothi Welfare Society and extended medical services to the blind and disabled. The DCWC has been constituted with Madhavi Latha as Chairperson, A Raju, V Ananda Kumar, S Satyaraju, J Siva Krishna of Eluru as members.
