Prakasam students shine in karate, kung fu
The students of Karate and Kung Fu from Prakasam District JKAI Shotokan Karate Association, participated in the Open Karate and Kung Fu championship held in Ongole and won 13 gold medals in the event.

According to the details provided by the JKAI AP Chief instructor Kodali Ravibabu and Prakasam district JKAI president T Srinivasa Reddy, about 28 students of JKAI from all over the district participated in the sub juniors, juniors and seniors categories in the event.
They announced that 13 of the candidates won gold medals and 6 others of them won silver medals. Srinivasa Reddy explained that Shaik Baji, K Asritha, K Varshini, T Sasank Reddy and Shaik Basheer from Kanigiri; T Jayasri, K Viswanth Saiphani, K Chetan Ghana Siddhartha, P Abhiram Reddy, B Jaswanth, D Rushil Ranajai, M Sardhak and B Vedavyas Reddy from Ongole, won the gold medals.
D Tejeswari Reddy, N Mounika, J Haranath, N Mahit Kumar, A Harsha Kalyan Chowdary and G Bharat Kumar from Ongole received silver medals for their performance, he added.
