Annual festival of Ammavaru concludes
The annual festival of Goddess Mavullamma Ammavaru concluded here on Friday. The Neerulli Kuragaya Pandla Vartaka Sangham and Utsava Committee jointly organised an auction of the 54 kgs Laddu Prasadam of Goddess Mavullamma, in the morning.

Kollu Prasad of Bhimavaram got the Laddu in the auction for Rs 2 lakh. On behalf of Kollu Prasad, Municipal Chairman Kotikalapudi Govinda Rao received the Laddu Prasadam from the organisers. During last year auction of the Laddu, the management committee has got Rs 1.7 lakh. This year it reached to Rs 2 lakh. During auction for another 108 kgs Laddu, Chikkala Rambabu received it for Rs 32,000.
Narsapur DSP T Prabhakara Babu, Tahsildar Chavvakula Prasad, AMC Chairman Kolla Nageswara Rao, Neerulli Kuragaya Pandla Vartaka Sangham members, Utsava committee member Addala Ranga Rao, Mane Perayya, Koppula Sattibabu, Ramayanam Govinda Rao, temple Executive Officer Nallam Chakradhara Rao participated in the programme. Later, the Utsava Committee organisers conducted Annadanam at the temple. Thousands of people turned up at the Anna Prasadam on the occasion.
