Bhimavaram: The Pratyeka Hoda Sadhana Samiti has called upon the people to participate in the agitation irrespective of party affiliations until the State get the Special Category Status (SCS).

A roundtable of the Samiti was held here at Cloth Merchants Association building on Thursday. CPM district secretariat member K Raja Ramamohan Roy presided over the meeting. The meeting was attended by JNV Gopalan (CPM), Bhusarapu Sai (YSRCP), Cherukuwada Ranga Sai (Social Worker), Mallula Sitaram Prasad (CPI) and MD Hally (Citizen’s Forum).

The leaders said that the TDP and BJP had betrayed the Andhra Pradesh people in according the SCS to the State. They called upon the people to give a befitted lesson to this duo in the coming elections similar to the way they had taught a lesson to the Congress in the previous elections. They alleged that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, had mortgaged the interests of the state and favoured the Special Package.

The leaders lamented that the Chief Minister had demanded for SCS to the state after four years. The leaders pledged to fight against the state and the Centre on the SCS. CPM leaders BV Varma, M Vaikuntha Rao, DYFI leaders Arun, Manikantha, Teja, people’s associations’ leaders including Kiladi Malleswara Rao participated in the meeting.
