aCivic chief flags off tax collection van
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Challa Anuradha flagged off a mobile tax collection van at a programme held at GMC office here on Thursday. Speaking on this occasion, she said that there were 1.63 lakh assessments in the city. Work burden was increasing on the Mee Seva centres and GMC office counters.
Guntur: Municipal Corporation Commissioner Challa Anuradha flagged off a mobile tax collection van at a programme held at GMC office here on Thursday. Speaking on this occasion, she said that there were 1.63 lakh assessments in the city. Work burden was increasing on the Mee Seva centres and GMC office counters.
In order to reduce work burden on these counters, the corporation introduced mobile van which would move in the city and collect taxes and render services to the tax payers. She informed that the van will tour from 7 am to 6 am in the city and urged the people avail the facility provided by the government.
She further said that the staff in the vehicle would collect the tax and remit the same in the treasury. GMC officials were also present.
